Call for Auditions - Tenors and Baritones

The past year has been a time of transition for the Sons of the Day, and that trend will continue. We're making some changes internally as an organization and will also be experiencing some personnel turnover in the months ahead. Jared Stoltzfus will be going with his wife for a year in Guatemala. He's been a great asset to the group over the past 4.5 years, and we're sad to see him go.

As a result, we'd like to announce open auditions to take place between April 21 and May 1, 2008. We're looking for a couple Tenors and Baritones to fill out the group, but are uncertain exactly how many new singers we'll add at this point.

The 30-minute audition/interview will consist of one prepared piece of the auditionee's choosing such as a hymn melody or folksong, as well as sight-singing, range, and agility exercises.

Download the two documents below and return the application to Matt Hunsberger at least one day before your audition. Make sure you read the commitment form, both because those are our expectations of all group-members, but also because we will discuss several items from that document with you during your audition.
